Get involved in Viva!’s ‘Are you an animal lover?’ campaign
This summer, Viva! will be touring the country and serving up thousands of free vegan hotdogs – with all the trappings – showing off how delicious vegan food can be and enticing people to chat to us about how they love companion animals but still eat others.
More than one in two households has a beloved animal in their home, so we want to ask people how they can care about protecting someone they consider part of their family while supporting the killing and abuse of other sentient, sensitive, intelligent beings.
To help underline the hypocrisy and encourage an understanding of what life is like for farmed animals (and where their food comes from), we will be offering free cuddly toys to people who watch one of our videos. To help people visualise what pigs are forced to go through, we will also be displaying a farrowing crate containing a loveable toy dog and puppies.
