Contact Your MP to Ban Cages for Hens

Over seven million hens are still trapped in cages across the UK – crammed into dark industrial sheds, row upon row, with little more space each than a sheet of A4. They will never feel sunlight or breathe fresh air.

In these conditions, stress and frustration spill over into feather pecking and injury, until these intelligent, curious birds become a pale version of who they’re meant to be – all to push them into laying 20 to 30 times more eggs than they would naturally, for a product we simply don’t need.

The UK government says it wants to phase out cages for good. Now we need to turn that promise into law and we need your help to make it happen.
