Claudia Jessie
Claudia Jessie is an English actress best known for playing Annie Taylor in the BBC police show WPC 56 and Eloise Bridgerton in Netflix’s period drama, Bridgerton. She has also appeared in Line of Duty, Porters, Vanity Fair, and Doctor Who.
Claudia has been practising Buddhism since she was 17 years old, introduced to it by her mother and aunt to help her get through some mental health challenges, including anxiety and panic attacks.
Claudia tries to live as ethical a life as possible, and she went vegan around 2015. In 2022, she told Big Issue:
“I went vegan seven years ago. I haven’t shopped on the high street for about six years, because I will not contribute to fast fashion. And ever since I was 22 I’ve volunteered every Christmas at a homeless shelter. I always think, do you reckon one day in the future we’ll be like, ‘Do you know that people used to just walk past people on the street? Do you believe they used to batter animals and put them in between bread?'”
