Jude’s Charity 100:1 cycle/swim
Jude Hill has accomplished an amazing feat of fitness this year by cycling 100 miles from her home to Minehead, and then following that up with swimming 100 lengths!
Jude absolutely smashed her target by 229%, raising a total of £231.43 for Viva! Outstanding! Jude hopes to continue raising money for Viva! with her daring challenges. Way to go Jude!
“For a few years I have raised money for the Alzheimer’s Society because I was working part time in a dementia home. I stopped working there a year ago and decided that as I’ve been a vegan for the last 4 years and passionate about animal rights, that I would look for an animal charity to support. I’ve been supporting Viva for a while now as a monthly subscriber and felt I would like to do more. I am so in awe of all the work the charity does to highlight the appalling conditions animals endure because of factory farming.
I like to challenge myself and have in the past run Bristol half marathon and cycled land’s End to John O’Groats. This year’s challenge, recently completed was a hundred mile bike ride, from my home to Minehead and back, then a 100 lengths swim at Churchill sports centre. (1 1/4 miles) I raised £231.43 for Viva. I stopped half way for a coffee and cake at Toucan health shop and cafe in Minehead. They give customers a discount if they are supporters of Viva.”
