Andy’s Backyard Ultra Challenge

This year, Andy Imms has his sights set on something extraordinary – qualifying to represent the United Kingdom at the 2026 Backyard Ultra World Team Championship this October.
Andy was part of the team in the last championships in 2024 and is currently sitting just outside the qualification places.
To secure his place, he’ll be pushing his limits at the Rasselbock Backyard Ultra on 28 March and the Portland Pig Backyard Ultra on 1 May. To guarantee selection, Andy believes he may need to run for an astonishing 60 hours in one of these events!
And he’s also doing it for the animals.
Alongside this phenomenal athletic goal, Andy is raising funds for Viva!. Andy says: “I’m raising money for Viva! who do great work in exposing the injustices faced by animals that are exploited for human greed. If you can give even a small amount, it would be greatly appreciated.”
We’ll be following Andy’s progress every step of the way as he chases his place on the world stage – and we couldn’t be prouder to have him running for Viva!.
If you’d like to cheer Andy on and support his incredible fundraiser, please visit his JustGiving page and donate whatever you can. Every pound will help power him forward. Let’s go, Andy!
