Victory: Red Tractor drops abhorrent turkey farm following Viva! investigation
Animal welfare group Viva! are celebrating their latest victory as food assurance scheme Red Tractor drops Gravel Farm – an intensive turkey farm which annually produces over 33,000 turkeys and is part of Avara Foods, which supplies Sainsbury’s. The farm was approved by Red Tractor until Viva!
This December, animal welfare charity Viva! is visiting three cities to raise awareness about the emotional intelligence and complex behaviour of turkeys and to hand out FREE vegan turkey samples.
Viva! has recently been handed footage shot inside tents housing turkeys that shows some of the worst conditions we have ever seen.
