Animal welfare group, Viva! Campaigns have released disturbing footage taken inside Hogwood pig farm, a supplier of supermarket giant Tesco. The footage exposes shocking scenes of animals suffering from severe distress and shows one pig being eaten alive.
Hogwood Farm is a horrific place in Warwickshire, which houses 16,000 pigs and is one of the largest pig farms Viva! has ever seen. The conditions for pigs there are so appalling that Viva! launched a campaign in 2017 urging supporters to TAKE ACTION.
On Wednesday 24 January at 1pm representatives from Viva! Campaigns will visit the Animal and Plant Health Agency office in Worcestershire, where they will hand in the 49,500 petition signatures they’ve collected since their initial investigation.
