Thousands attend Coventry’s first Viva! Vegan Festival

Coventry Vegan Festival

Viva! has been running vegan festivals nationwide for over ten years and their events have attracted over 100,000 people. This was our first visit to Coventry and considering the success of this event, it won’t be our last!

The event was a huge success and attracted over 2000 attendees. With a series of talks, cookery demos and over 80 stallholders the festival provided a great opportunity to learn more about a vegan lifestyle. Many of Coventry’s own vegan community exhibited at the event including ethical clothing brand Positive Outlook , Lottie’s Vegan Bakery and The Juice House.

Outside in the Cathedral ruins were a range of hot food stalls and a DJ, which gave the event a fun festival vibe. Food vendors included the delicious Mission Pizza, Greek Vegan Deli, Shelia’s Vegan Kitchen and Nyam Nyam Caribbean, each serving an abundance of interesting and tasty vegan food, many of which completely sold out!

Stall holders, The Vegan Cakery were blown away by the Coventry festival “Without a doubt, Viva!’s Coventry Vegan Festival was one of the very best events The Vegan Cakery has been part of over the last few years. The atmosphere was wonderful, so many lovely customers new and old, there were some outstanding fellow traders and it’s always great to see the Viva! team too helping promote veganism and true ethics. What a sensational venue as well, hope you return to the Cathedral in 2018!”

The next Viva! Vegan Festival is in Liverpool on Saturday 12 August 2017 – for full details visit viva.org.uk/Liverpool. Please be aware this event is now fully booked – please contact vivaveganfestivals@gmail.com to be added to the stallholder waiting listing.
