Everything you ever wanted to know about going, being or staying vegan (or moving in that direction) will be on tap at the Cardiff Viva! Vegan Festival. Organised by charity Viva!, entry is just £2 (under 16s free); a whole range of delicious food tastings are free; and all the advice you could ever want on changing your diet or improving your health is also free.

A copy of the enclosed Everyone’s Going Vegan magazine (worth £4) will be given fee to everyone attending.

With over 80 stalls spread over two floors, it will be a brilliant and welcoming family day out. There will be cookery demonstrations from Viva! and top chefs, talks, vegan stalls, competitions, cruelty-free fashion & beauty products, vegan food for sale – including Mr Nice Pie and Cardiff’s very own Vegan Pizza Co and Simply V, books, information and campaign news.  And free nutritional advice will be available all day.

Viva! campaigns director Justin Kerswell says: “Interest in veganism is expected to continue to boom in 2017.  There are already a growing number of people in Cardiff who are vegan, vegetarian or on their way to a plant-based diet.

“For the increasing numbers of people who want to find out more about improving their health, saving animals and protecting the environment, this is an upbeat event which will entertain and help.

“Showcasing the best Welsh vegan food, the Cardiff Viva! Vegan Festival will be a great day out that all the family can enjoy.”

The Cardiff event follows the success of the 43 roadshows the group has held across the UK since October 2004, which have been attended by more than 92,000 people. A third of those attending the shows were meat eaters looking for help in cutting down their intake.

Viva! is an established animal and environmental campaigning charity that exposes animal abuse. Viva!’s events have helped thousands of people change to a kinder, healthier diet. All are welcome.
