Phoebe Bridgers

Phoebe Bridgers is an award-winning American indie-folk singer-songwriter. She is also a member of boygenius, who released two EPs before they went on hiatus and then a studio album after they reunited in 2023. Phoebe was also a member of ‘supergroup’ Better Oblivion Community Center, with whom she released a studio album before returning to her solo career.

As a solo artist, Phoebe has released two studio albums: Stranger in the Alps in 2017 and Punisher in 2020. In 2024, she won four Grammy Awards for: Best Alternative Music Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. In the same year she won a Brit Award for Best International Group for boygenius.

In 2022, Phoebe teamed up with a Los Angeles restaurant called HomeState to create a vegan taco for charity. The vegan taco was named after Phoebe’s dog, Maxine, and proceeds from its sales went to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), a community organisation advocating for children and families in child welfare and juvenile justice systems.²Monroe, J. 2022.
