Laura Jane Grace – Against Me!

Laura Jane Grace is the lead singer and songwriter of American anarcho-punk band Against Me! and has had a solo career since 2018.
Between 2002 and 2016, Against Me! released seven studio albums. The 2014 album, Transgender Dysphoria Blues, was included in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Punk Albums of All Time, and won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist. As a solo artist, Laura Jane Grace released Stay Alive in 2020 followed by Hole in My Head in 2024.
In 2012, Laura came out as being transgender and began her transition to becoming a woman. The emotional closing track on Against Me!’s 2007 album New Wave features the lyric: “If I could have chosen, I would have been born a woman / My mother once told me she would have named me Laura.”

Laura Jane Grace has been spotted wearing a t-shirt with the slogan, “Vegan is Sexy”.
