Josh Franceschi – You Me at Six

Josh Franceschi is an English singer-songwriter and the former frontman of rock band You Me at Six. The band formed in 2004 and released their debut album, Take Off Your Colours, in 2008. The band climbed the charts higher and higher with each album released since. They have had two number one albums, Cavalier Youth and Suckapunch. In 2020, You Me at Six released the single ‘Our House (The Mess We Made)’ to help raise funds for Australian bushfire relief and the lyrics directly address the climate crisis. The band’s final album, Truth Decay, reached number four in the UK charts. You Me at Six announced that they would be splitting up in 2025 after the completion of a farewell tour.
Why Josh Franceschi is vegan
Josh Franceschi is vegan for the animals.
Franceschi has been vegan since around 2014 and he told the Viva! Vegan Podcast that he was inspired to transition from pescetarian to vegan by his partner. He says that getting a dog gave him a new appreciation for animals, shifting his focus onto the relationship between animals and food. He couldn’t desensitise himself from that.
In 2018, Josh and his bandmates organised a vegan pop-up restaurant called You Me at Shish in collaboration with the London-based vegan fast-food outlet, Temple of Seitan.1Fair, A. 2016.
