Jermaine Dupri

Jermaine Dupri is an American rapper and producer. He is known for discovering the hip-hop duo Kris Kross and writing/producing their hit single ‘Jump’. In 1993, he started his own record label, So So Def Recordings, and he has worked with artists including Mariah Carey, Nelly, Bow Wow and Usher, producing 11 number one singles in the US. Dupri was one of four writers on Mariah Carey’s song ‘We Belong Together’, which won Best R&B song at the 2006 Grammy Awards. He has also had success as a solo artist, releasing three studio albums.
