Why Peter Sarsgaard is vegan

Peter Sarsgaard is (probably) vegan for health.

It’s hard finding much about the motives behind Sarsgaard’s veganism, but as he is a keen runner, yet still cooks meat for his kids1Thorp, C. Peter Sarsgaard: Our Kind of Leading Man. Men’s Journal. Available: https://www.mensjournal.com/adventure/peter-sarsgaard-our-kind-of-leading-man-20140731/ [Accessed 10 March 2021]., it appears he eats a plant-based diet primarily for health reasons. In a 2023 interview, he joked about the limited vegan options at the restaurant, saying “I guess I’m going to have this polenta I’ve had 12 times.”2O’Toole, L. 2023. “…there are a lot of vegans working in the entertainment industry. On the movie that I just wrapped I was actually wondering what the meat eating actors were doing!”3Thorp, C.
