Why Jessie Cave is vegan

Jessie Cave is vegan for the animals.

Cave has been vegan since 2016. She has linked her veganism to concern for animals and has used her platform to encourage people to make kinder everyday choices. That includes highlighting how animals are harmed not only for food, but also for materials used in clothing and accessories. She worked with PETA on the “Red River Farm” campaign, a darkly comic sing-along designed to highlight cruelty behind wool, feathers and leather, and to push viewers towards vegan alternatives.1PETA. 2023. Alongside her creative work, Cave’s veganism is part of a wider focus on compassion in daily life. She tends to communicate it in a straightforward way, centred on what people can change immediately, and why those changes matter for animals. According to Harry Potter co-star and fellow vegan, Evanna Lynch, Jessie Cave is also raising her two children as vegans.2O’Connor, R. 2019.
