Ali Tabrizi

Ali Tabrizi is a British vegan investigative filmmaker best known for the Netflix documentary Seaspiracy, produced by Kip Andersen, director of the documentary Cowspiracy. 

Ali grew up in Kent, on the Southeast coast of England, where he spent a lot of time exploring the world through the lens of a camera. 

According to Seaspiracy.org, “After his family moved to Iran for several years during a time of political turmoil and revolution, he became intimately aware of how untold stories can lead to corruption and injustice, sparking an interest in war photojournalism.” 

Later he moved to India and taught himself filmmaking. He became interested in environmental issues and began working on the Netflix Original documentary, Seaspiracy.

“I realised the single best thing I could do every single day to protect the ocean and the marine life I love was to simply not eat them.”
