Aidan Gallagher

Aidan Gallagher is an American actor and musician best known for playing “Number Five” in Netflix’s The Umbrella Academy from 2019 to 2024. In the comic book adaptation, Gallagher plays a 59-year-old time traveller trapped in the body of a 13 year old.

As a musician, he has released six independent singles. After The Umbrella Academy reached its conclusion, Aidan began focusing on his music career and working on his debut album.

He has explained that his journey began with Meatless Mondays at home, which grew into a vegan challenge, before becoming a permanent change. For Gallagher, veganism is about aligning actions with values and using his platform to encourage kinder, more sustainable living. He has also highlighted the huge resources tied up in animal-based foods, pointing out that removing high-impact products from our plates can create meaningful change.
