CALL FOR WHISTLEBLOWERS – WE NEED YOU
Have you worked on a farm, in a slaughterhouse, in the transportation of live animals or witnessed animal cruelty or environmental damage? If so, we urgently want to hear from you.
Viva!’s hard-hitting investigations are critical for uncovering the cruelty and suffering kept hidden by the animal farming industry, as well as its toll on the environment and our own health. It’s often thanks to the courage of individuals who work within the industry, or live near a facility, and blow the whistle on the abuse they’ve seen, guiding our investigations and helping us to expose the truth of what happens on farms and in slaughterhouses.
Witnessing cruelty takes its toll
If you’ve worked on a farm, in a slaughterhouse, or in the transportation of live animals, you will likely have experienced many distressing and disturbing situations. We know this can be extremely difficult and even traumatising, and the psychological toll of that work is rarely acknowledged.
We also understand that speaking out can be difficult but we’re here to listen and ultimately help put a stop to the cruelty you’ve witnessed. We just need you to get in touch with us and share your experiences by emailing campaigns@viva.org.uk so we can get to work.
You don’t need to have captured dramatic or exceptional footage to come forward – details of routine, everyday practices matter too.
What will help is the following information:
- Company/facility/farm name and location
- Species of animal involved
- Number of animals (approximate)
- Dates and times: either of the times you worked there or when you witnessed something
- Please be sure to include attachments or links to photo and/or video evidence
