Vegan Angelina Berva takes U82kg women’s title at the Official Strongman European Championships

Frenchwoman Angelina Berva put in a superhuman performance at the 2025 Official Strongman European Championships held in York, UK, this past August.

The competition featured five events: deadlift, log lift, sandbag toss, super yoke, and sandbag steeplechase.

Angelina won the sandbag toss and the deadlift with eight reps of 210 kilograms in the latter. She came second in the log lift, third in the sandbag steeplechase and fourth in the super yoke. She ended the competition in first place for her weight category, with 44 points, a convincing 7.5 points ahead of second place.

Angelina has been vegan since 2011 (aged 17) and all her achievements have been since then.

“I built my physique and my performance while being vegan. Many think that the two are incompatible – not at all. You can very well be vegan and reach a high level.”
