Pop-up ETE launch

On 30 and 31 July we launched our brand new ‘Eating the Earth’ campaign with an exclusive jungle-themed pop-up restaurant in the heart of Brixton, London. The event was attended by high-profile influencers, journalists, environmentalists and culinary enthusiasts alike. The experience included a three-course fine-dining meal, made from 100 per cent vegan ingredients.

The meal was handcrafted by plant-based specialist chef Anton Petrov, who is renowned for creating culinary delights made from sustainably-sourced and foraged ingredients. Our guests were absolutely blown away by the sensational food creations. The menu was full of delicious surprises like creamy whipped ‘feta’, deconstructed aubergine parmigiana and almond panna cotta.

The response to our new campaign was phenomenal. Our managing director Laura gave a passionate speech to kick off the evening, urging everyone to come together to tackle the huge challenges of wildlife loss and to go vegan. The event was visited by vegans and non-vegans alike. We had comments from meat-eaters saying that their eyes have been opened and that they won’t eat meat again! That’s of course exactly what we want to hear.

Our guests were gripped by our new ‘Eating the Earth’ campaign video; a visual representation of how humanity is destroying wildlife. The soundtrack for this video was produced by DJ DZEKO, known for his collaborations with Post Malone and Preme.

We are determined to reach the masses with this powerful message. As part of the launch we have published ‘Nature in Danger’, a ground-breaking report written by Dr Justine Butler, that highlights why one million species are living under threat – and why animal agriculture lies at the heart of the problem. The report also spells out the consequences of inaction.

We have also launched an interactive wildlife map, where users can discover which animals are in danger of going extinct, and how UK diets are fueling this decline. Explore the map yourself on our new campaign page.

About the campaign

Our ‘Eating the Earth’ campaign highlights the role that eating meat, dairy, and eggs plays in worldwide wildlife loss. We are in the midst of the Earth’s Sixth Mass Extinction, with animal agriculture a primary cause of this accelerating species extinction. And this ecological crisis will have catastrophic impacts for our own future – without wildlife humanity will not survive. Immediate, large-scale sustainability efforts are now more essential than ever – though most consumers still choose species-endangering animal products over biodiversity-friendly, plant-based alternatives.

The ‘Eating the Earth‘ campaign highlights that although the time left to act is dwindling, there is still a narrow window to make a difference. Going Vegan Now! is the only way we can save the world’s wildlife and ensure our own survival.
