More research shows the biggest direct driver of wildlife loss is intensive agriculture, livestock farming and fishing.
Compounds found in animal foods – especially when they are cooked – increase the risk of disease.
Eating plenty of fruit, vegetables, wholegrains, pulses, nuts and seeds lowers the risk of developing bowel cancer.
Meat, dairy, cheese and eggs increase acidity in the body and can lead to chronic diseases such as diabetes and cancer.
