Rachael Simpson-Jones – PR Manager

Rachael joined Viva! in 2025 after deciding the time was right to move into a purpose-driven organisation aligned with her personal beliefs. Having been an ethical vegan for over a decade, and a vegetarian since her early teens, Rachael is very familiar with the vegan lifestyle and is passionate about spreading the word of its positive impacts on animals, the environment and human health.

As PR Manager, Rachael is responsible for securing crucial media coverage of Viva!’s work, including its factory farming investigations and public outreach campaigns. With her BSc in Zoology and 12 years’ experience as a communications professional, including as editor of an industry-leading magazine, she possesses a deep understanding of the media landscape and how to connect with a wide variety of audiences.

An animal lover through and through, in her spare time Rachael enjoys countryside walks with her three rescue dogs, volunteers as a wildlife rescuer with a well-known wildlife hospital, and supports heritage archaeology projects in Yorkshire and Peterborough.
