Calling all animal advocates! We need you – especially if you live in the Midlands – to get into schools and promote the veggie message! Speaking to teenagers in schools about vegetarian issues is a truly uplifting experience. You have an attentive audience that is genuinely sympathetic and open-minded. It changes attitudes, changes lives and lays the vital foundations for a cruelty-free tomorrow. It is also one of the most rewarding things you can do. And, of course, you will have the fantastic Food for Life video to help you.

Training days are informal and fun and there’s no obligation to become a speaker.  You will:

  • meet like-minded people
  • increase your knowledge of factory farming, health and nutrition, the environment and developing world
  • learn how to tailor talks to different classes and age groups
  • get top tips on successful speaking
  • learn how to give cookery demos (if you want to – not all our speakers give demos)

The day costs only £10 waged/£5 unwaged, which includes a copy of The Viva! Guide to Speaking in Schools, our teen video Food for Life, leaflets and vegan refreshments.
