PHOTOCALL: Giant Pig says "Learn to Cook Kind at the Welsh Veggie Show!"

Wales' largest ever veggie event comes to Cardiff

At Midday Tuesday, September 25, outside the front entrance of St David’s Hall, The Hayes, Cardiff

Viva! mascot Piggles will be joining veggie chef supremo Jane Easton to invite lunchtime shoppers to come to The Welsh Veggie Show, which arrives in Cardiff on Saturday, 29 September, 2012, at St David’s Hall, The Hayes from 10.30am to 4pm. The dynamic duo are promoting Wales’ largest ever veggie event and will be dressed in aprons and waving saucepans – and are sure to catch the eyes of the people of Cardiff!

“This is essentially a fun day out which is a celebration of veggie living”, says Juliet Gellatley, international director of Viva! and Welsh resident. “For the increasing numbers of people who want to find out more about improving their health, saving animals and protecting the environment, this is an upbeat event which will entertain and help. And it’s all free of charge!”

Everything you ever wanted to know about going, being or staying veggie/vegan will be on tap at the Cardiff Show. Organised by campaigning animal group Viva! entry is free. There will be a variety of delicious free food tastings from vegan food manufacturers and all the advice you could ever want on changing your diet or improving your health will also be available, free.

A brilliant day out, there will be cookery demonstrations from Wales’ top veggie chefs, 40+ veggie stalls, cruelty-free beauty products, vegan food products, books, information and campaign news. There will also be talks including Defeating Diabetes with the D-Diet, Why You Don't Need Dairy and Saving the World with Your Knife and Fork. There will be people onhand all day to answer your nutritional questions.
