Get your tickets for Viva!?s Party for the Pigs
Tickets are on sale now for Bristol veggie group Viva!?s annual Christmas Fundraising Dinner.
This year, ending the factory farming of pigs will be the campaign benefiting from the event, which will be held on Saturday, December 13 at Circomedia in Bristol. Monies raised will specifically fund new undercover investigations.
There will be a spell-binding corde lisse performance (an aerial act using a vertically hanging rope) at 7pm by artist Rebecca Mayfield before the dinner, which guests can enjoy over a glass of wine. Then at 7.10pm, a short presentation on our pig campaign will be given by Viva!'s Deputy Director Justin Kerswell, followed by a delicious three-course vegan meal and then after-dinner speakers, auction and raffle. Tickets for the dinner, which takes place between 6.30pm and 11pm are priced at ?65.
Deputy director, Justin Kerswell, says: ?Through local media coverage, our shocking findings have alerted thousands to the suffering of pigs raised in concrete hovels, often without any bedding or comfort. Pig meat sales are falling, but we want to roll our investigations out across the country to ensure this downward trend continues. We desperately need funds to do this. Help us make a difference ? and have a great time doing so!?
