Fundraising Assistant

The role of Fundraising Assistant is to assist the Fundraising Manager in the administration of raising funds for Viva! and VVF and ensuring donors are thanked and that the database is kept up to date and accurate. The Fundraising Assistant reports directly to the Fundraising Manager and then to the Director.

Training will be given. Knowledge of database inputting desirable or you can be trained if you are able to enter data accurately and have good WP skills.

Carry out dataprocessing eg:

  • the capturing, collecting and inputting of data
  • ensuring all merchandise/book buyers and general enquirers etc are entered on the db
  • processing data for output
  • ensuring deduplication is accurate
  • ensuring thank you letters and packs are sent out promptly
  • To process standing orders – add to db, send original to bank, file copy
  • Process supporters and renewals on database; send out 'membership' and renewal packs promptly (ie aim for packs to go out within one week; three weeks maximum)
  • To assist in other fundraising areas when requested by the Fundraising Manager or Director
  • Assist with general enquiries and merchandise orders when necessary (esp. at xmas!)
  • Assist with general office admin and other duties as directed by the Director
