The Egg Cafe occupies the light and airy loft space of an old Victorian warehouse building, affording a panoramic view of the city centre.

As well as being Liverpool's premier vegetarian restaurant, The Egg is also an independent art gallery [Eggspace] and a popular meeting place.

The relaxed and bohemian atmosphere attracts a diverse crowd and is especially popular amongst artists and students.

COMMENTS
They are situated in a social centre, with food made by volunteer animal activists who are always up for a chat.

The food is bargain priced.

The place is a political centre as is obvious by the copious amounts of pro-vegan and animal rights material as well as the other political material that there is there.

They run a vegan cafe every Saturday afternoon, hold regular film nights and occasional other events, and offer space for groups to hold meetings & events.

They have computers & wi-fi internet access that you're welcome to use, and a library of radical books.

You may have to ring the bell a few times though to get let in!
