This is a small restaurant/cafe that is friendly and down to earth. It is not a posh job! The food here is very good - in fact delicious - and a higher standard than the decor would have you believe. The menu has recently gone from veggie to vegan and there is a wonderful choice of mock-meat/fish and tofu based dishes. There are also 10 freshly made juices to choose from - eg beetroot, carrot, apple and lemon and lots of smoothies eg avocado, banana, dates and flax seeds - so quite a find! There is a lunch time hot buffet for £5.50 which is deservedly popular; and a take away lunch box for £3.20. Very good value. Also offers home delivery. Definitely recommnend you try the Peking Palace.

My Partner and I have been going to the Rasa restaurant on Church Street for years.... And we still think that the food here is wonderful. Mainly as the food is well prepaed and cooked, you can tell from eating it that the ingredients are of good quality. I have found a lot of Indian food to be too oily, unnaturally coloured and no different from the next. The food at Rasa appears, tastes and feels (in your belly after eating) healthier than nearly all other Indian Food restaurants I have been to.

We first went to Rasa because it was local and really knew nothing about its reviews and reputation. We made our own minds up just from eating the food that this is indeed a very good restaurant. Mmmm I have convinced myself into popping down there now I think.... Enjoy!

Saf sets new standards for vegan and raw food restaurants. It?s almost a shame to eat dishes this pretty; and it?s even more remarkable when you realise these compositions, with their vivid colours, variety of textures and unusual flavours, are created almost entirely from uncooked fruit and veg (only low temperatures are used to cook a few of the ingredients).
Far from being worthy or hairshirt, Saf is a strikingly good-looking bar and restaurant, airy and bright and filled with fashionable Shoreditch folk. The cocktails are good too, and the head barman chatty and welcoming. A remarkable restaurant, and a must-visit if you?re a vegetarian bored of the same old options every time you eat out.
