COMMENTS
Open 7 days from 12 noon until late, last food service is around 10 pm. Majority of food is vegan, it is all delicious. As it is also a pub it has a casual/laid back feel. At weekends there are often bands playing in basement below. Have always found service to be excellent, warm and friendly. People of all ages frequent this establishment. Highly recommended.

COMMENTS
This is a laid back tiny cafe on the southside of the city. There is a jumble of mismatched chairs and tables with regular exhibitions of affordable local art. The clientele includes the local hippy set and artists and families with young children. It has the feel of an international cafe.

The menu includes a fabulous mezze plate ( often featuring Rose's patented kidney bean hummous) , daily soups, homemade bread and fabulous vegan burgers.

The service and atmosphere is, as the name suggests, laid back and friendly- not really a place to go if you are in a rush ( but she will do you take away) but an easy place to pass a couple of hours , even for the solitary diner, and to enjoy a meal that makes you feel loved, warm and healthy. The coffee is great and the daily smoothies are always worth a go.

This is our regular weekend haunt but not because it is the only vegan friendly local venue. There is late night opening with BYOB and a pot meal which alternates between meaty and veggie most Thursday nights ( I think).

We love this place. We can't recommend it highly enough but please don't all rush at once or we will not get a seat.
